  • ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
    Abstracts can only be submitted online via the application available in the section “Call for Abstracts” of the official ISVA 2021 website.
    Abstracts must be submitted in English.
    Abstracts sent by post, fax or email will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.

  • GUIDELINES
    Failure to observe these guidelines may result in disqualification.
    The correct topic must be selected to ensure adequate evaluation by the scientific committee. The content of the abstract has to be based on any of the topics.
    If animal experimentation is part of the study, the abstracts must contain the necessary information to ensure that international ethical standards are met.
    Abbreviations should be defined the first time they appear in the text.
    Commercial names or trademarks cannot be mentioned in the title. However, they will be accepted, in brackets, in the body of the text.
    The abstract should be a minimum of 300 words and cannot contain more than 500 words.
    Title and authors must not be included together with the text. There are special text fields to include this information
    The abstract must be structured into the following sections:
    • Objectives
    • Materials and methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions
    Images and graphics cannot be included in the abstract allowed.

    If you have successfully submitted your abstract, you will receive a confirmation number. If no confirmation number is received, the abstract cannot be considered as successfully submitted. Please, be sure to have all the necessary information prepared in advance, as if the webpage is closed before submitting, all data will be lost.     You will be able to modify your submission until the deadline. Use the online submission form to access to your submission again using the contact-person email address and the password received in the acknowledgement of receipt. *Please, check the FAQ section to revise this option.

    Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. No corrections are possible after the submission deadline. The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proof reading will be done.

  • AFTER THE SUBMISSION
    Failure to observe these guidelines may result in disqualification.

    The reviewers will judge the abstracts according to their relevance ISVA 2021. They will assess the standard of English, objectivity of statements, description of the work, suitability of methods to aims, conclusions confirmed by objective results, ethics, scientific value, potential scientific value, originality of work and overall impression.

    The submitting author will be notified by from 21 September 2021 whether the abstract has been accepted. Notifications will be sent via email to the email address provided during submission (contact person and presenting author). It is the authors’ responsibility to ensure that emails from ISVA 2021 can reach them. Within the notification, authors will be informed of the date, time and form of the presentation.
    Please note that every contact person that has submitted an accepted abstract is required to register into the meeting by 30 September 2021, otherwise the abstract will withdraw from the final programme.

  • PUBLICATION POLICY
    All abstracts accepted for presentation (oral or poster) will be published within the official abstract book of the meeting, available at the ISVA 2021
